Last September 21st, Stine Liv Buur, Head of Classics at Vitra and expert in the work of the Eames, visited our showroom to explain us anecdotes, details and unpublished stories about the most iconic couple of 20th century design. The talk analyzed the impact of the Eames on the history of contemporary design, their way of working and their close professional and friendship relationship with the Swiss brand.

Stine Liv Buur is a renowned architectural professional with a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) focused on luxury and furniture tradition. As an author and design researcher, Stine has contributed to several book publications, articles and exhibitions, with a focus on Charles & Ray Eames, Jean Prouvé, Verner Panton and Alexander Girard. Since 2013 he has worked for Vitra, where he holds the position of Design Manager Classics. She is responsible for developing the classics collection and collaborating with classic designer families, such as Jean Prouvé's daughter Catherine Prouvé and the grandson of Charles and Ray Eames, Eames Demetrios who today is also a good friend of her.
