As part of the Madrid Design Festival 2026, MINIM Madrid hosted the artistic installation Play With Fire, an immersive and scenographic proposal by the studio Zanellato/Bortotto for Moroso.

The installation opened on 17 February with a cocktail and remained open to the public for two weeks, transforming MINIM's design space into a material ritual centred on fire as a transformer of matter. The protagonists were two collections: Mangiafuoco, created in fire enamel on copper with the Venetian workshop Incalmi, and Clay, developed with Italian ceramic brand Botteganove, which reinterprets the nobility of artisan ceramics in a contemporary key.

Play With Fire offered a journey through metal and ceramic that invited reflection on the value of craft, the uniqueness of the object and the emotional power of materials: a homage to Italian artisan knowledge, revisited with a contemporary and poetic sensibility.

About Zanellato/Bortotto

Founded in 2013 by Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto after studying at IUAV Venice and ECAL Lausanne, the Treviso-based studio Zanellato/Bortotto pursues ongoing research into the relationship between places and the passage of time, reinterpreting traditional craft techniques. Their practice spans product design, limited editions, creative direction and interiors, with international collaborations and awards including Red Dot, Good Design and AD100.
