On 9 April, M300 inaugurated the exhibition La Ricarda. Melody of a House, a show by Bea Sarrias and Morrosko Vila-San-Juan offering a singular perspective on Casa Gomis, designed by architect Antoni Bonet Castellana and one of the defining works of Catalan modern architecture.

The exhibition brought together paintings, sketches, filming photographs and an audiovisual preview of the film both authors have made about the house, at a particularly significant moment: its transition into public ownership and its role as a monument in a space caught up in the debate over the possible expansion of El Prat Airport.

The opening was a resounding success, with more than 250 people attending to see the artists' proposal. The evening was supported by Perelada, who offered guests a glass of wine.

Bea Sarrias is a Barcelona-based painter whose work explores architecture and light with an intimate and poetic sensibility. Her practice, exhibited in galleries and institutions worldwide, begins with a close observation of built space to reveal its emotional dimension. La Ricarda has long been one of her key creative territories.

About Morrosko Vila-San-Juan

Morrosko Vila-San-Juan is a filmmaker and documentary director specialising in projects about culture and architecture. His work seeks to capture the lived experience of spaces, beyond their formal reading. The film he is making about Casa Gomis is one of his most personal projects.
