OSA Restaurant, Madrid

At OSA restaurant, in the quiet Manzanares district of Madrid, wood wraps the space and is also present in the furniture itself, creating a warm continuity throughout. Natural fabrics soften the atmosphere, and the lighting, simple and unadorned, lets that warmth breathe. The result is a space that combines the familiar with the sophisticated.

The project is the work of Schneider Colao, an architecture and interior design studio founded in 2008 by Ursula Schneider and Jesús Colao Martínez, with offices in Madrid, Palma de Mallorca and Zurich. For OSA, the studio worked together with MINIM on the selection of pieces from Cassina, Molteni and Brdr. Krüger, combined with lighting by Santa & Cole. The wood of the furniture, the natural upholstery fabrics and the clean light of the lamps hold that sense of sophisticated home together.

Led by chefs Jorge Muñoz and Sara Peral, OSA won the Tapas Best New Restaurant 2023 award and earned its first Michelin star in 2024, shortly after opening. Today it's one of Madrid's gastronomic landmarks.
