About USM Haller E

USM Haller uses an innovative solution of lightning that allows to highlight objects, create atmospheres and provide guidance whether in receptions, in exhibition halls or in the living room of your home. As a novelty, the Swiss furniture firm integrates an energy supply into the structure of its modules. The light elements are discreetly inserted into the tubes with a single movement and can be used for different purposes: you can illuminate shelves and showcases from the inside or highlight a wall effectively with white light, either warm or cold. The lighting of the drawers by means of sensors allows seeing their contents immediately when opening them. In the lower part of the furniture it is also possible to install the light as an orientation or to indicate a direction.

Light is not the only new integral element of the USM Modular Systems. As a second novelty we have the appearance of the possibility to charge mobile devices directly into the structure. As light sources, USB chargers can be installed exactly where they are needed and in predefined empty spaces.

The USM Haller E power supply is revolutionary: no cable is required. The structure itself conducts electricity through e-Tubes, e-Ball and specially developed electronic e-Connectors that replace traditional components. The electricity supply of the furniture is made at any point near the ground, and takes place through a power cable that leads directly to a USM Haller e-Ball. The power supply unit is under the furniture. Thus, the electricity supply appears as if by magic, because neither the cable nor the electrical connections are visible.

This new integration of current and lighting in the supporting structure of the furniture does not represent the end of the project, but it marks its beginning for the future: control with mobile applications, touch furniture surfaces and programmable lighting scenarios - these are the promising areas of research in which USM Haller will surprise us with solutions.
